Is there any way to tell other than checking the SN (im at work, I dont have the SN) if its american or a highway 1 (i am still going to buy it, but if its highway 1, i'm definatly going to be bargaining my ass off)?

Serial number on neckplate starts with an L, 1963 - 1965. Four or five digit serial number on the neck plate with no letters, 1954 - 1963. Its like a burst almost, but instead of dark to light, it goes sparkly (like metallic flakes in the paint) on the outside to clear red on the inside. Four digit serial number on the bridge, 1950 - 1954. Up for sale is a beautiful left-handed Fender Highway One Statocaster in honey blonde nitrocellulose finish, made in the USA. The one on the webpage is clear to the edges,and the finish on mine is not. It has just been set up so it is ready to play. It looks Killer It shows no fretwear and i could find no dings.
